Mutations change the visual appearance of an item and add a value multiplier that increases its base worth in the trading economy. Mutations range from common enhancements that provide modest value boosts to ultra-rare modifiers that can multiply an item's base value by 5x, 50x, or even 120x.
Common mutations like Wet (1.2x), Chilled (1.3x), and Chocolate (1.4x) are the most frequently occurring in Grow a Garden. They apply a modest value multiplier, making them a minor but consistent enhancement to crop value.
Mid-tier mutations such as Shiny (2x), Frozen (2.5x), and Plasma (3x) apply stronger value multipliers. These mutations are noticeably less frequent and significantly more desirable in the trading market.
The ultra-rare mutations represent the peak of the Grow a Garden mutation value system. Glimmering (5x) was introduced during the Fairy Event. Rainbow applies a massive 50x multiplier. Shocked reaches 100x and Celestial — the rarest of all — applies a 120x multiplier to any item's base value.

Some mutations are mutually exclusive — only one of Rainbow or Golden can apply to a crop at once. However, some environmental mutations can stack with rarity mutations, further increasing item value.
