The Grow a Garden GAG Calculator is the definitive tool for calculating exact plant sell values in Garden Horizons, the farming simulation experience within the Roblox Grow a Garden ecosystem. Unlike basic value lists that show fixed prices, our GAG calculator applies the precise mathematical formula used by the game engine itself — quadratic weight scaling, ripeness multipliers, color variant bonuses, and additive mutation stacking — to give you an exact Shilling value for every plant in your inventory.
Whether you are calculating the value of a heavyweight Watermelon with Salad mutation, planning the optimal ripeness level for your Mango harvest, or checking how much a Frost Bit Beetroot is worth before trading, this calculator handles every variable with precision. All plant base data was confirmed and adjusted by the community as of March 15th,, making it the most accurate GAG calculator currently available.
The Garden Horizons value formula is: Value = BaseSell × (weight ÷ baseWeight)² × Ripeness × ColorVariant × MutationMultiplier
The most critical component is the quadratic weight scaling factor. Because weight scales as a squared ratio, doubling a plant's weight does not double its value — it quadruples it. A Watermelon that weighs 0.6kg — twice its base weight of 0.3kg — is worth four times its base sell price of 250,000 Shillings, not twice. This quadratic relationship makes heavy plants extraordinarily valuable and is the primary reason serious players focus on weight maximization strategies.
Ripeness adds a linear multiplier on top: Unripe plants sell at ×1.0, Ripened at ×2.0, and Lush — the maximum ripeness — at ×3.0. Combined with a heavyweight plant and rare mutations, Lush ripeness can push final values to extraordinary levels.
Mutations in Garden Horizons do not multiply together — they stack additively using a specific formula: MutationMultiplier = (sum of all mutation multipliers) − (number of active mutations) + 1
This additive system means that two ×1.5 mutations do not give ×2.25 as multiplicative stacking would — instead they give (1.5+1.5)−2+1 = ×2.0. This distinction is important for calculating realistic values. The highest individual multipliers are Salad (×20) and Banned (×20), followed by Party (×11.5), Meteoric (×10), Ancient (×7.5), and Starstruck (×6.5). Combining multiple high-multiplier mutations additively can produce massive total multipliers.
Three special mutation combos exist in Garden Horizons that are triggered by combining specific weather mutations: Muddy (×5.0) is created by Sandy combined with Flooded, Frost Bit (×3.5) is created by Chilled combined with Snowy, and Mossy (×3.5) is created by Foggy combined with Chilled. These combos provide higher effective multipliers than their component mutations would provide separately, making them highly sought-after for maximum value harvests.
Watermelon leads the plant value list with a base sell of 250,000 Shillings unripe at its base weight of 0.3kg. Due to its high base weight and exceptional base value, a Watermelon with maximum weight, Lush ripeness, Gold color variant, and Salad mutation can achieve values in the hundreds of millions of Shillings. Bamboo (70,000 base) and Cabbage (60,000 base) round out the top three. Among multi-harvest plants, Pineapple (50,000 base) and Lilystalk (14,000 base) offer exceptional long-term farming value due to their ability to be harvested multiple times from a single plant.
Garden Horizons codes provide free Shillings, seeds, and exclusive items when redeemed in-game. Active codes as of include ADMIN (50,000 Shillings), MONSTER (5 Royal Seeds), RELEASE (2,500 Shillings plus seeds), THANKYOU (premium dawn seed pack), and DAWN/DAWNFRUIT (Dawnfruit Seed, requires Dawn Digital group membership). Codes expire without warning — redeem immediately upon discovery. All current codes are listed in the codes section above with one-click copy functionality.
Select a plant from the list, enter the actual weight, choose ripeness level and color variant, select any active mutations, and click Calculate. The formula used is: BaseSell × (weight/baseWeight)² × ripeness × variant × mutation multiplier.
Additively: effective multiplier = (sum of all mutation multipliers) − (number of mutations) + 1. Two ×1.5 mutations give ×2.0, not ×2.25. The calculator applies this formula automatically when you select multiple mutations.
Watermelon has the highest base sell value at 250,000 Shillings. With Lush ripeness (×3), Gold variant (×5), Salad mutation (×20), and maximum weight, a single Watermelon can be worth hundreds of millions of Shillings.
Muddy (×5) = Sandy + Flooded. Frost Bit (×3.5) = Chilled + Snowy. Mossy (×3.5) = Foggy + Chilled. Our calculator automatically detects and alerts you when your selected mutations form a combo.
Plant and harvest during matching weather conditions — planting during rain increases Soaked/Flooded chance, planting during snow increases Chilled/Snowy chance. Use the Appraisal item for a random mutation. Admin mutations (Meteoric, Banned, Salad) require admin-level access.
